Giorgio Gabellini

Cesena, 1918 - 1996.
He is a chemist, but since the 1960s he has owed his artistic fame to the caricatures of characters from entertainment, sport and politics, first drawn on paper and then, from 1966, modeled with terracotta. In addition to collaborations with newspapers (Il Resto del Carlino and Stadio, among many), he participated in the first caricature exhibitions of Trieste, followed by the most prestigious humorous exhibitions in Italy (Bordighera), but also abroad, such as in Montreal, where in 1980 he was named Caricaturist of the Year at the Association of American Cartoonist convention.
