The International Humor Exhibition in Bordighera was the first conference of authors of drawings and books dedicated to humor and still remains today in Europe one of the main cultural reference points in the sector.
The site therefore presents a part of the thousands of works received over the span of over fifty years. It is divided into annual "Editions" each containing, in addition to the most relevant drawings, the list of winners for drawing and humorous literature, the major awards awarded, news and testimonials of interest. An effective engine facilitates the search by author or keyword.

Piombino, 1923 - 1974 Born Marino Guarguaglini. In his unfortunately short life he was mainly an illustrator of children's books and the author of comics such as the popular strip Cuoricino (with a clear homage to the novel Cuore by Edmondo De Amicis) created for the weekly magazine Il Monello. I see mainly the image of how it started: as a kid trying to invent a good story and represent it like in the many comics I read back then and tried to copy. Your past largely determines who or what you will become later: my drawing style and my way of being in life were determined then and have evolved into who and what I do or am now...I try, where possible, to create a relativizing double bottom in my illustrations and cartoons.

The event could not have lasted for over fifty years without the contribution of numerous "volunteers" and "precepts" who brought enthusiasm and desire to do whatever the task received, with nineteenth-century shifts! From the choice of the drawings, to the preparation of the panels (always the same every year), to the posting with various pins of the hundreds of drawings up to the presence on stage.
