The International Humor Exhibition in Bordighera was the first conference of authors of drawings and books dedicated to humor and still remains today in Europe one of the main cultural reference points in the sector.
The site therefore presents a part of the thousands of works received over the span of over fifty years. It is divided into annual "Editions" each containing, in addition to the most relevant drawings, the list of winners for drawing and humorous literature, the major awards awarded, news and testimonials of interest. An effective engine facilitates the search by author or keyword.

There is, partly thanks to the Internet, a glut of cartoonists and cartoonists: everyone is allowed to show their tricks, which means that not only beautiful and meaningful (good) cartoons but also a lot of garbage can be found on the web.What worries me most is that good cartoons are no longer appreciated or are no longer recognized as valuable due to the glut of supply. Many cartoon contests are organized by organizers who promise cash prizes (or other prizes) but do not pay them: the cartoon is used as a promotion and the winning cartoonist(s) is/are thrown in the trash. Apparently, this is happening more and more often: organizers no longer have to account for "that unpaid prize to that far away cartoonist" who had fun drawing for our promotion. Nothing could be further from the truth; drawing a good cartoon is hard work and this in many cases should be better rewarded.

The event could not have lasted for over fifty years without the contribution of numerous "volunteers" and "precepts" who brought enthusiasm and desire to do whatever the task received, with nineteenth-century shifts! From the choice of the drawings, to the preparation of the panels (always the same every year), to the posting with various pins of the hundreds of drawings up to the presence on stage.
